When you are driving, trouble can come out of nowhere. In cities, it's no surprise when pedestrians walk in front of cars or out from behind things, but Ford highlights its pedestrian assist feature with a far more unlikely scenario. While driving along in a barren, white sand desert, a woman's 2017 Ford Fusion alerts her to a random man bopping along in front of her car, listening to music and playing on his phone. The alert lights up and the car is able to brake just in time. With a wave of acknowledgement, the pedestrian goes on walking, still distracted by his devices.
