Back in the day, football was a man's game, played by men who demonstrated absolute focus and passion for the game. Oh wait, is that Pepsi? Ok fellas, that's halftime.
iSpot Review - April 19, 2018
Who would've thought it? The first
halftime in football was borne of Pepsi and women.
This TV commercial from Pepsi
gives a nice vintage look at early football, replete with leather helmets and
woolen garb. The approach engages interest easily for a football viewing
audience.
The historical joke is just
plausible enough to be believed and the thought of it gives a good giggle. The
challenge in this iteration of the creative is to tag the Katy Perry Super Bowl
Halftime Show onto the creative execution. Doing so takes time from the Pepsi
product and limits the brand moments onscreen.
