Dressed in black, a man and his friends gather together in a junkyard to pay their respects as the old Nissan is about to get crushed. After a moment of silence during which the man dumps some of his blue slushy onto the ground, he reaches into the car to say his last goodbye and grab the chattering teeth keychain. Then, the crushing begins as Carol plays Miley Cyrus' hit song "Wrecking Ball" on the keyboard. As the group of friends then drive off in the 2015 Nissan Sentra, the man reminisces with the keychain but is also thrilled to make new memories. Remember the old but enjoy the new with Nissan.

Moving on from your old car can be bittersweet. On one end, the vehicle that got you and your friends around for years has taken its last drive. Memories of road trips, picking up dates for the first time and that one time your friend spilled a massive fountain drink in the backseat all seem to flood your brain. But on the other end of the spectrum, you're getting a new car. That dull spot on your dash that has long faded from its original color is now replaced by a navigation screen. You're getting better gas mileage and don't have to wear extra clothing in the winter because the heater actually works. Out with the old and in with the new.

In this 60-second ad titled "Wake" from Nissan, a group of friends gather at a junkyard to pay their last respects to Steady Betty, an older Nissan Sentra. Encouraged to say a few words from his friends, the Sentra owner gives libations with a blue slushy drink as he honors his old car, his friends around him chiming in with good memories in mind. After retrieving his chattering teeth ornament, he signals to a worker to turn on the auto wrecker just as the keyboardist begins to play the chorus to Wrecking Ball from Miley Cyrus. As the car crusher starts up, Steady Betty is slowly crushed and the sound of metal breaking and tires popping can be heard. While driving back in the new Nissan Sentra, a friend mentions how nice the interior is before the driver sternly tells him that it's too soon to be talking like that. The driver cracks a smile and tells him he's just kidding, ready to create new memories in his new car. Here's to Steady Betty. Always ready. She never quit.
