At dawn, as sprinklers turn on and a newspaper delivery boy rides his bike around a neighborhood, an electrical outlet bursts into flames inside a home. A young girl sleeping upstairs wakes up in the midst of the house fire, and after burning her hand on the doorknob, runs to her bedroom window. Her parents (who saved the goldfish) refuse to help her for reasons like bad grades and not pulling her weight around the house -- they even brought out marshmallows to roast in the fire. Hell Truth asks if any loving parent would do that to a child and follows with another question: "Why do people think God would?"
