Neighbors David and Ryan find themselves becoming fast friends, frequenting clubs together and seemingly in sync with one another. However, when they are involved in an accident that results in the death of an innocent woman, the two reveal themselves to have very different priorities. While David is possessed by guilt and a desire to console the deceased's grieving sister, Ryan reveals himself to be concerned only with self-preservation, by any means possible.
