In the Allstate TV spot titled “Knowers: Speech,” a bustling lecture hall is filled with students, one of whom discreetly checks Allstate’s website on her tablet for an auto quote. The lecturer begins his lesson, projecting his personal screen to the main hall’s projector. To his horror, he realizes he is sharing his own personal photos, including an embarrassing one of him with a deck of cards. Flustered, he scrambles to stop the slideshow, but more incriminating photos appear. The students burst into laughter, until one quick-thinking student unplugs the projector, rescuing the teacher’s dignity. The commercial underscores the message, “checking first is smart,” encouraging viewers to check Allstate first.
