Despite being an outcast among her peers and classmates, Emily Elizabeth finds a lifelong companion in a small red puppy. Before long, he grows into an enormous dog who towers over the tops of houses, which draws the attention of a shady genetics company. Emily and her Uncle Casey evade these evil scientists and set off on a journey across New York, gaining a new appreciation of tolerance and compassion along the way.
