My Salinger Year TV Movie Trailer

After landing a job at a reputable New York literary agency, Joanna finds herself among the legions of aspiring writers who have put their own dreams on pause. She already has her hands full with her regular duties -- answering phones, fetching water, getting reamed out by prickly boss Margaret -- when another task falls onto her desk: managing fan mail for famously reclusive writer J.D. Salinger, author of classics such as The Catcher in the Rye (which she has yet to read). Joanna is disturbed that the bulk of this job is sending soulless, agency-mandated replies to fans explaining that Mr. Salinger reads none of his mail. Eventually, the lure of sending a proper response is too much to resist and Joanna takes a big risk.
