After suffering a catastrophic loss at the Battle of Germantown, members of the American Continental Army discover a wandering dog on the battlefield belonging to General William Howe, leader of the British Army. The men offer the dog to General George Washington, still reeling from the wreckage of his army's defeat. But in the face of such a great loss, General Washington sends the dog back to the opposing army bearing a flag of truce and a note in a gesture that would be deemed by General Howe as the honorable act of a fine gentleman. As evidenced in the American Revolutionary War, Pedigree proclaims dogs bring out the good in us.
