During Super Bowl LVII, Heat on the Street reporter for Astellas Pharma asks women "what's VMS?" With a bevy of shrugs and confusion, it seems the term isn't well known, even among women of a certain age. When she mentions it's related to menopause, the interviewees -- no fans of menopause -- get a little silly about it, answering things like, "Very Malicious Sweat." But it turns out VMS stands for Vasomotor Symptoms, the technical term for the array of menopause classics like hot flashes and night sweats. Astellas Pharma's on-the-street reporter invites everyone to learn more about VMS at the pharmaceutical maker's site.
