What began as a gathering of friends to eat Whataburger’s Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich soon turned into a tradition that would be shared by many. To promote the event, the friends posted flyers with an open invitation for people to attend the Whataburger social. One of the founders of the Whataburger social remembers trying to get a group photo with all the attendees at each gathering. Little did he know that his open invitation would grow into a big event with over 65 attendees to share in and some good food, fun and the Honey BBQ Chicken Strip Sandwich which started it all.
