A veteran recalls how he would have surprise drills while serving where everybody had to rush to clean themselves up. Even if he did everything right, it would fall on him if his bunkmate didn't look good. He was drilled to be part of a team where everyone helped each other to succeed. In his next job, he brought those lessons to work with him every day to help his team even if that meant staying late to help his coworker finish a task.
