General Aladeen has been the ruler of the country of Wadiya for nearly all his life. After an assassination takes the life of his body double, he is urged by his uncle and adviser to stay in New York City for his own safety. After fleeing his own country, he is met by a group of immigrants from Wadiya who have been exiled, while gaining an outsider's image on his own country, and the negative light it casts as a hostile country. "The Dictator," rated R, was released May 16, 2012.
